First Clinical Case Study of a Crown Preparation
Continuation of Preparation
Especially the canine tooth has to be deeply prepared on its mesial surface (= surface which is tilted forward) in order to obtain a parallelization of the prepared teeth. For a safe cooling, an additional water jet is directed to the dentine wound.
Control Measurement with PREPOMETER
The preparation depth preferable for a prosthetic provision has not been achieved yet. Measuring with PREPOMETER shows that the canine tooth can still be prepared more "exactly" mesially.
Perfect Preparation Result
The canine teeth could be shortened by 4 mm as well as parallelized to the other teeth in axis direction. Nevertheless, there is still a sufficiently thick dentine layer above the pulp, so there is no risk for the tooth vitality.
